Dropbox Files Being Pulled in Random Order — Need Them Ordered for Carousel Story

Hi all! :waving_hand:

I’ve got a flow that’s working well overall — it pulls image files from Dropbox and schedules a carousel post to Instagram. I’ve set a limit of 6 images (to match the carousel limit), and the files in my Dropbox folder are clearly named and sorted in ascending order (1, 2, 3, etc.) to tell a visual story.

The issue:
When the scenario runs, it’s pulling 6 random images from that folder — not in order — which breaks the flow of the content I’ve carefully planned.

I need the files to be selected in the correct order to preserve the storytelling of the carousel.

Any tips or workaround to force the Dropbox module (or Make flow) to sort the files properly before sending them forward? I’m also trying to do this via Buffer so i can post to Tiktok but i am struggling with the media upload section of Buffer - my research suggests it’s because of the dropbox link - does anyone have a work around please?

Thanks so much!

Hi @L_RR Welcome to the community!

can you please share the screenshot of the output you’re getting from dropbox, which you want to sort. So we can give helpful solution.

Best,

Hi - sorry I’ve been playing around. Is it true that I can’t automate carousel style posts to Tiktok through Buffer?
