Eventbrite API Depreciated

I wanted to bring attention to the Eventbrite API, which is now depreciated and unsupported by them. The Make.com Eventbrite module gives me rate limit errors for 90% of the requests I make, despite having made about 40 total against a claimed 2000/hr limit. I work for another business that uses Make and has had the same issue. When I reached out to Eventbrite support the rep stated that they are no longer supporting the API at all.

So far the webhook side of their platform works fine.

Hey @AndySW
This is indeed some crucial info, but you can reach out to Make Support to confirm and remove the deprecated endpoints

Oddly Eventbrite is not listed on the module list in Contact > Technical Issue

We’ve also had this issue - is it just that make.com need to update their API use or is the API just balked?

Eventbrite still seem to have an API available / documentation etc, but are unwilling to help out in terms of support with rate limit issues.

We were told: "I’m afraid we’re unable to offer additional support regarding API integrations, beyond the information that I provided on my previous email. " The previous info being their API documentation

Could someone from make.com at least verify that the base url for all requests to eventbrite is https://www.eventbriteapi.com/v3. Thanks

I’ve had the same issue with this.
And eventbrite won’t talk to me about it. Make support have been absolutely unhelpful saying it’s an eventbrite issue and not even pointing out this thread.
My make.com scenarios with eventbrite are unusable.
Any updates on this?

Thanks for the insight @Simon_Langham and @AndySW

I see no verification from the make team.
This isn’t good enough @ team make.

Hey @here :waving_hand:

Thank you for raising this issue here.

The “429” error, also called Rate Limit Error, originates from a third-party service. As Make does not have control over such errors from third parties, this is likely an issue related to Eventbrite’s rate limits.

Feel free to reach out to the Eventbrite support team to resolve this issue.

Thank you for understanding :folded_hands:
