πŸ”₯ Feature Spotlight: Built-in user role descriptions

:shield: Get more context on every access decision, right where you manage user roles.

Hey Makers :waving_hand:

As your automation and AI projects grow across teams, role management becomes more than a setup task. It becomes a way to keep the right people moving fast, while team leaders maintain a clear view of who can do what.

:shield: Introducing built-in user role descriptions: a quick role context now available from the Role header in both organization & team user tables and in user invite dialogue. When you review roles in Make, you can bring more context into every access decision without leaving the place where you manage your organization and teams.

:new_button: What’s new

  • Role context in the table: See guidance on what each built-in role means, so you can confirm access levels before making changes.
  • Better governance conversations: Admins, team owners, and senior leaders can use the same source of truth when discussing access, approvals, and accountability.
  • Faster review cycles: During team setup, org cleanup, or access reviews, you can check role meaning in context and keep decisions moving.

:rocket: Real-world use cases

  • Running a quarterly access review: An admin can review organization roles, confirm what each role allows, and flag changes for leaders β€” with clearer reasoning.
  • Adding a new department to Make: A team owner can choose roles for new members while keeping data access, scenario ownership, and approval needs in mind.

This update is small in the interface but useful for teams that care about control, clarity, and responsible scale.
