🔥 Feature Spotlight: Rename Scenario Modules with a Double Click

:computer_mouse: Give every automation module a name that explains what it does

Hey Makers :waving_hand: As your scenarios grow, clear module names help you read the logic at a glance, hand work over with confidence, and return to an automation weeks later without having to retrace the whole flow. You can now name modules right where you are building, so the canvas stays easy to scan as your workflow takes shape.

:new_button: Inline module renaming is now available in the Make Scenario Editor. Double-click any module name, type the label you want, and keep building.

It is a small interaction that gives you more control over how your scenarios communicate their purpose.

Rename module via double-click

:light_bulb: Why it’s useful to rename automation modules in Make

  • Keep the flow in view: Name modules while you map routes, filters, and actions. Your scenario structure remains visible as you document the logic.

  • Get teammates up to speed faster: Use labels that describe the job of each module, so anyone opening the scenario can understand the workflow before reviewing its settings.

:rocket: Real-world use cases

  • Clarify a lead-routing scenario: Rename the modules to show each decision, such as “Check company size,” “Assign enterprise rep,” and “Notify sales team.” Your team can follow the route from form submission to handoff.

  • Document a customer onboarding flow: Label modules “Create contact,” “Create workspace,” “Invite account owner,” and “Send welcome email.” This keeps the journey clear if you expand the onboarding flow later.

Such a small product update. But I personally love it!

Happy automating! :purple_circle:
