Looking for one field in a big bundle? Now you can search module output by key or value.
Hey Makers
When a module returns a lot of data, the real win is getting to the right field fast.
Whether you are checking a webhook payload, an API response, or a long app output, you can now go straight to the part that matters and keep your build moving.
Search in Module Output is now live in the module output dialog.
Search by key or by value, and Make narrows the output so you can spot the exact data point you want to inspect, confirm where it lives, and map it with less guesswork.
Whatβs new
-
Search by key name, so you can find fields like email, order_id, status, or tracking_number without scanning every branch of the output.
-
Search by value, so if you know the customer name, ID, error text, or product name you are looking for, you can jump straight to where it appears.
-
Work through large or nested outputs faster when you are checking what a module returned before mapping the next step in your scenario.
-
Spend less time clicking through long payloads and more time validating filters, routers, and field mappings before you send data further down the scenario.
Why youβll love it
-
You are testing an order flow and need the right shipping field. Search for βtrackingβ or the actual tracking code, then confirm the exact path before mapping it to the next module.
-
You receive a webhook with dozens of custom fields. Search for a customer email, plan name, or internal ID, and verify where that data is located before you build filters or routing logic.
-
You are working with an API response that includes nested objects. Search for a specific status value or key, then check the response faster before adding conditions, fallbacks, or error handling.
Tiny, but a quality-of-life feature for your daily routine!
