File ID from Google Drive

What are you trying to achieve?

First project, bear with me…

My goal: Order received in WooCommerce → The product- name / ID locates the Print-ready file (PDF) in Google Drive where all the PDF’s are stored → PDF + shipping details gets send to E-mail (print service)

Steps taken so far

I can get it to work if I choose a file manually, but that’s not what I want. Depending on the product the color might be blue, red etc., and therefore each product has it’s own file.
I know that it won’t work with “Name” listed as “File ID” (see screenshot), but then how else would you do it? Is there some way to automatically get the file ID, with the name of the product, from a google Drive file that I can implement in the scenario?

Thanks!

Welcome to the Make community!

You’ll have to use the Search for Files/Folders module to get the file based on the filename.

Thank you Sam! That worked perfectly.

Now I’m facing another issue (hopefully the last for this scenario). The “Woocomerce Watch orders” module does not recognise that I place an order on the website - or so I think. When I run everything it only runs the first module.

I got the whole thing working yesterday (only running it manually - not every 15 minutes even though placing an order), but today nothing happens even though i do it manually. I feel stuck! Hope you can help

Can’t even find the new orders if I Choose Manually

Sorry, I can’t answer your new question, perhaps you need to start a new thread for a new question.

While it’s tempting to continue an existing thread, a more effective approach would be to start a new topic.
