We sell digital products called through shopify. Some products are made in collaboration with people who will receive a royalty.
We advertise these products on facebook ads, and have dedicated adset/campaign names assigned to each product. This way we can easily track adspend per product.
What we do now:
- we manually track facebook ad spend per product and add it into our spreadsheet
- we manually track transaction fees, payout fees & VAT from shopify, and add it into our spreadsheet
- we manually track gross revenue / orders per product, and add it into our spreadsheet
What we want to do:
- automatically track orders from shopify → fetch VATtax amount / country code / gross revenue etc
- automatically track adspend per product via campaign/adspent level
- automatically track payout fees, transactions fees
- put all this information into 1 spreadsheet, where we will run our setup. We will need to streamline this with your method of setting up the flow. Only that way we can make sure we have a 100% waterproof flow.

Since the main scope of your project is the right data tracking for your profits per sale for each product, the most important thing is to correctly structure your data in sheets.
If you work with Google Sheets, I would recommend using a separate sheet per object like the following:
- Shopify transaction report
- Facebook spends
- Pivot table combining data from both tables aggregated on product level/ Sale level/ monthly level
Make already has integration with shopify to get all required details from your sales including the royalty details if they are tracked in there. Using G=Facebook ads modules you can get details per add which you can collect them frequently like every X hours. Then you run your calculations or even use Google Looker Studio for data intelligence.
Based on your workload and the rest of the operations, it may be worth thinking about a database solution with a low cost for your business that can centralize your data in one place. For example, Airtable is one solution like this.
