I am trying to upload a post to Buffer. When trying to add a photo I get an error when I try to do it from the Google drive download a fil option selecting data in the link field (see screenshot).
When I tried to do it via the weblink directly from the Google drive search for file module selecting either WebView link or Web content link in both cases it works but in buffer i don’t see the image but the link below my post.
How to make sure you upload an image with your, in this case LinkedIn post, to buffer?
I did not use buffer before, but it should not be that hard to debug this, when you tried to paste the link into module manualy, it worked. Now you only need to make sure that the {{11.Data}} that you are mapping is exactly only the link that you want to “paste” there. If there is any other “data” inside that mapping it could not work.
@Patrik thanks for your reply. I mean that when I used the field web content link it worked but the result in Buffer was that it showed the actual link and not the image. In Google Drive the right are set that everyone with the link should be able to acces the image.
Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues. P.S.: investing some effort into the tutorials in the Make Academy will save you lots of time and frustration using Make!
@samliew thanks! in the end I did use the download file module (search file might work as well). So first Search for filed/folders and than Download file. The problem was that I was using the wrong field under Media in the Buffer module, I used the Link field and I should have used the Link to an image field. Now it works.
In Buffer the image still does not appear to load well but if I post to LinkedIn the image is shown as it should.
