I’m able to post and mention pages via the meta business dashboard, but ideally i’d automate this as it’s a regular post that i send with almost the same message, hashtags and mentions.
I’ve successfully automated all the steps, even going as far as having some date sensitive modifications (which also work)
my only gap is mentioning the pages that are interested in the content, while this is super straightforward for instagram (my scenario already does that) it seems impossible for facebook.
I’ve tried
@[page-id], @[page-name], @page-id, @page-name none of which seem to work.
facebooks own docs for their api suggest it should be @[page-id] but this doesn’t seem effective in make.
The docs also say your usage of that feature needs to be approved before it can be used by the public, but i think using the correct version should get it working for you for test purposes, provided you’re an admin of the App, the Page you’re tagging and the Page you’re updating
yes, i had seen these posts also, but i couldn’t quite grasp whether make was limited by them.
I am the admin of the page, but i don’t recall having to create an app in order to link make up with my facebook page, and given that i can automate posts at all (and also mention instagram accounts.) i’d sorta hoped that it was just a formatting issue within the message for facebook.
