How to use Single Sign-on (SSO) with SuiteCRM app?

Hi Community!

I’m looking to connect to a CRM called SuiteCRM/SugarCRM but the CRM instance is accessed only via single sign-on SSO and not with a simple username and password combo.

Does anyone know if it is possible to setup a scenario using Makes SuiteCRM when SSO is implemented? It works for CRM instances that are not SSO enabled because when you select SuiteCRM from the list of apps there are fields only to enter the URL, Username and Password.

Most of our customer CRMs are using Azure SSO which bypasses the CRM login page when they access the application natively.

Appreciate your time and consideration!

Hi @crm_automator,

Have you tried to authenticate so far? And is this the App you are talking about? https://www.make.com/en/help/app/suitecrm-7

If so, it seems that the current App in Make is based on the APIv4.1 and not the APIv8 (which supports OAuth2) API Versions :: SuiteCRM Documentation

It is best to try it first, but if it doesn’t work I think you would have a hard time using the current App and SSO at the same time. You could opt to use the HTTP Oauth2 module to connect to the APIv8.

Please, follow these steps when asking a question, and you’ll be more likely to get a helpful answer:

:footprints: Tell us about any steps you’ve tried so far

:camera_flash: Include screenshots of:

  • your scenario flow and setup (functions, mappings, variables, etc.)

  • module configurations and outputs

  • any error messages you are getting

Yes, I’m using the SuiteCRM-7 app. I’ll do more digging
