If statement not working in variable

Of the life of me I dont know what is happening here. I’ve tried everything but still can’t get the variable to trigger properly. I started using the multiple variables from a webform to grab them and did a couple of samples and couldn’t get the response I was seeking. I now simplified it to a single variable and am not understanding what I’m doing wrong here.

I have tried everything from putting it in quotes, no quotes etc. I can only get a response when i make the variables numbers, which do me no good.

Looks like you have extra spaces around the on.

Hence it is not matching since it has to be an exact match.
