Instagram create a post photo module giving failure when using Google Drive URL

Hello everyone, how are you?
I need some help!

I have a flow that takes an image from Trello, saves it to Google Drive, and then posts it on Instagram. This flow worked perfectly for the last two months, but since last Friday, it started giving an error, no longer accepting the image URL from Google Drive.

Error: DataError
Only photo or video can be accepted as media type. (9004, OAuthException)

What’s strange is that it worked this way for so long. Has anyone else encountered this error recently, and more importantly, does anyone know how to fix it?

Thank you!

Hi, I’ve been having the same problem with single photo posts and carousels since Friday…

I haven’t seen a solution yet.

I´ve figured this workaround published here Only photo or video can be accepted as media type. (9004, OAuthException)

Using wordpress media library instead google drive works fine.

there is a workaround

I figured out a temporary solution using wordpress media library instead google drive. Published here Only photo or video can be accepted as media type. (9004, OAuthException)

Yep same here. I have 5 senarios no longer accepting images from google drive to Instagram. I appreciate the Wordpress work around but I have 365 images in 5 google drives that would need uploading to 5 different Wordpress sites that already have pre existing images in that I don’t want on social media so really, these scenarios just need to get fixed using google drive. I’m using PNG images - is that the same for everyone?

Hello everyone @here

Thank you for raising this in the community and for sharing the workarounds you’ve discovered. It’s always great to see Makers helping each other out.

I just wanted to let you know that at this time, we’re not aware of any widespread issues affecting the Instagram for Business modules.

That said, if you’re encountering this error and the proposed workarounds don’t do the trick for you, please open a support ticket with our Customer Care team. They will be able to investigate further and point you in the right direction.

Thanks a lot for your collaboration. :folded_hands:

I started having the same problem this past weekend with a scenerio that has been operating correctly daily for the last couple of months. I’ll open a ticket now, hopefully this issue will get resolved soon.
