Is the Google Sheets to Make app down for anyone else

what dark?
its google taking the app down, have you ever tried to resolve anything with google?

The app script works the same, its not hard to set up, pretty sure the app just runs this script for you. I don’t even think I will bother switching back to the app when its fixed.

Hello everyone @here

I wanted to share a quick update. Our development team is working closely with Google to review the new Google Sheets add-on. We completely understand that you are eager for updates and we genuinely appreciate your patience.

There is, unfortunately, no exact timeline we could share at this moment but we’ll make sure to keep you posted on any progress.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding :folded_hands:

You can use the Sheet Automation extension, which can do a lot, including tracking various changes and sending webhooks directly to Make. It’s extremely simple, you can learn it in a few minutes.

Be worth pointing out that beyond the most basic features, this is a paid add-on. Otherwise you’re limited to the number of rules and runs. Let’s be transparent.

Still working on it ?

I used the recommended workaround and it works.
But I have two questions.

First, when I activated it, I had to log in through my Google Account. How do I change the connected account? For example to pass this to a client?

Second, some executions fail with error
Exception: Address unavailable: https://hook.eu2.make.com/lia4hk6wpbyeufx84xlpninsoxjmjboo

Does this happen because the updates are too close?

Hello @Alberto.Cabas.Vidani

I’m sorry to hear you’re encountering issues with the proposed workaround. For any questions about the implementation, we recommend opening a support ticket with our Customer Care team. They’ll be happy to assist.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and our apologies for the inconvenience :folded_hands:

Any update for this? I just bought premium and saw this :skull:

And I almost bought the upgrade. It hasn’t even been half a year. Without setting up this scenario, the subscription is completely useless.

Is this STILL not working?? I canceled my make subscription over this. Maybe n8n is a better solution?

Hello everyone, thanks again for your continued patience.

Unfortunately, there’s no new update we could share. As mentioned previously, our development team is working with Google to complete the review process for the new Google Sheets add-on. We’ll share any progress or important changes with you as soon as they happen.

In the meantime, if this issue is blocking your work, we recommend using the workaround outlined in this article, under the section “Set up a Google Sheets webhook.”

We truly appreciate how patient and understanding you’ve been while we navigate this process. We know delays are frustrating, and we want to assure you the team is doing everything they can to move this forward as quickly as possible.

Thanks again for bearing with us. :folded_hands:

Welcome to the Make community!

Could you please create a separate topic for this?

While it’s tempting to continue an existing thread, a more effective approach would be to start a new topic. It helps other community users to respond to a different question in a new thread, and keeps our space organised for everyone. If you start a new conversation you are also more likely to get help from other users. You can refer others back to a related topic by including that link in your question. Thank you for understanding and keeping our community neat and tidy.

The “New Topic” link can be found in the top-right of the header:

Thanks!

Is there an ETA for the extension to relaunch? Don’t want spend the time to go through updating all of the dozens of scenarios/sheets with manual only for the tool to come back online in a week or two…

Its. Been. Two. Months.

The fact that we’ve gotten no solution, no updates (except for the same generic response), and no timeframes makes me think this won’t be up any time soon. Frusterating for a company as big as this one.

Well, that’s the best update Make can provide because nobody knows how long Google will take to review and publish the new Sheets extension.

Why was the original disabled in the first place though? A new one could have been made before deprecating the old one.

@samliew

Same here I don’t have time neither internal skills, we need a solution !!

Thanks so much for your patience, everyone.

We know the wait has been frustrating, and we truly wish we had better news to share. Unfortunately, the GCP approval process is still ongoing, and it’s not something we can speed up on our side.

In the meantime, we recommend giving the script workaround a try. Several users have shared that it not only fills the gap but also offers added flexibility and customization.

We’re very sorry for the continued inconvenience, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding. :folded_hands:
