Hello @MakeLink , welcome to make.com community, I have worked and have experience with Make.com and l will love to collaborate with you on this you can schedule a call Here and you can checkout my upwork profile Here, for my pastworks and certifications
Hey @MakeLink , It sounds like your team is spending time juggling tools that don’t talk to each other I’ve seen that slow operations and create unnecessary manual work. That’s exactly what I fix.
I build Make.com automations that connect CRMs, project tools, and internal systems into one smooth workflow. For example, I recently helped an operations team cut admin time by 70% by linking HubSpot, ClickUp, and Slack into a single automated loop with live updates and error tracking.
I can help you design reliable, well-documented workflows that keep everything synced and your team free from repetitive work. I’m also available during NZ business hours for collaboration and quick updates. Schedule a call with me here so we can have a much better discussion about this.
I’m excited to apply for the Make.com Automation Developer role. With hands-on experience designing, optimizing, and maintaining complex workflow automations across business systems, I’m confident I can help streamline your internal processes and deliver reliable, scalable automation solutions.
Case Studies
1. Client Onboarding Automation for a Digital Agency
Challenge: Manual onboarding through Google Forms and spreadsheets caused delays and inconsistent data entry.
Solution: Designed a Make.com workflow integrating Typeform, Airtable, and ClickUp. When a client submitted the onboarding form, a new record was created in Airtable, a project template was triggered in ClickUp, and a Slack message notified the account manager.
Impact: Reduced onboarding time from 45 minutes to 5 minutes per client and improved data accuracy across systems.
2. Invoicing & Payment Sync Between Xero and HubSpot
Challenge: Finance and sales teams lacked visibility into invoice statuses.
Solution: Built a Make.com automation connecting Xero and HubSpot via API. When an invoice was created or updated in Xero, the associated deal record in HubSpot was automatically updated with invoice details and payment status.
Impact: Eliminated manual status updates and provided real-time revenue tracking for the sales team.
3. Automated Lead Routing & Enrichment System
Challenge: Leads from multiple sources (Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, website forms) were being manually assigned and enriched.
Solution: Developed a Make.com scenario integrating webhooks, Clearbit API, and Google Sheets. Leads were automatically enriched with company data, scored, and routed to the correct salesperson in HubSpot based on region and score.
Impact: Reduced lead response time by 70% and increased conversion rates through faster follow-ups.
This sounds right up my alley — I’ve been building Make.com and API-based automations for over 8 years, connecting CRMs, finance tools, and AI systems for teams across time zones. We recently automated multi-system data syncs in our AI-Powered ESG Platform, using Make as the orchestration hub. Case Study

Relevant Experience
Case Study 1 – CRM & Billing System Automation (Make.com + HubSpot + Xero)
Built an end-to-end automation connecting HubSpot, Xero, and Slack using Make.com.
When a deal closed in HubSpot, invoices were automatically generated in Xero and confirmation messages sent to Slack.
Added webhook retries and logging in Google Sheets for full audit tracking. Impact: Reduced manual finance handover time by 80% and eliminated invoicing errors.
Case Study 2 – Marketing & Lead Management Workflow (Make.com + Airtable + ChatGPT + MailerLite)
Designed a workflow to enrich leads via an enrichment API, score them using ChatGPT, and segment them into MailerLite for campaigns.
Implemented dynamic scheduling to control API call volume and error recovery triggers. Impact: Cut lead qualification turnaround from 2 days to under 30 minutes, increasing conversion efficiency.
Technical Approach
If selected, my process for MakeLink would include:
Discovery & Mapping
Meet with the operations team to document existing workflows and bottlenecks.
Define KPIs: time saved, error reduction, or cost impact per process.
Design & Architecture
Draft automation flowcharts before implementation for transparency.
Choose between native Make connectors or HTTP/API modules depending on data control and reliability.
Integration Setup
Configure webhook triggers for real-time updates between systems (e.g., CRM, project tools, accounting).
Use Make variables for credentials and parameter management — no hard-coded keys.
Testing & Reliability
Implement try/catch modules and logging layers (Sheets or Airtable) for visibility.
Include error handling and notification alerts (Slack/Email) for any failed executions.
Documentation & Handover
Provide workflow diagrams, runbooks, and a change log.
Conduct a short team walkthrough session for in-house maintenance.
Support & Optimisation
Offer post-launch tuning — scaling modules, optimizing scheduling, and improving API efficiency.
Why I’m a Fit
4+ years of automation and systems integration experience using Make.com, Zapier, and custom API scripts.
Strong background in REST API design, JSON parsing, OAuth2, and webhook authentication.
Collaborative communication style — used to working with non-technical operations teams to translate needs into robust workflows.
Comfortable aligning with NZ/APAC business hours for syncs and updates.
I’d be glad to walk through a few sample scenarios or automation maps from prior work to show how I can contribute to MakeLink’s process improvement goals.
Looking forward to your response and hopefully a quick chat this week.
