Looking for Guidance to Get Started with Make

What are you trying to achieve?

Hi evryone,

Thank you for your time.

I’m currently getting started with Make and I’m in the early stages of learning and building. I’m still completing my beginner certification and haven’t yet begun generating income from my workflows. That’s why I’m trying to move forward while minimizing upfront costs.

My goal is to build the right foundation, gain more hands-on experience, and grow into an Enterprise-level plan once I have sustainable projects or clients. I’d be very grateful for any guidance, resources, or support you can offer to help me get moving in the right direction.

Steps taken so far

Please let me know if there’s a way to be part of any community programs, beta access, or startup-friendly initiatives that Make may offer.

Thanks again for your attention and support.

Welcome to the Make community!

That’s an excellent idea! When I started using Make last year, I set a goal to complete all the tutorials in the Make Academy within a month. I wish more users completed the Make Academy first, as there are a lot of questions asked about stuff that are already covered in the courses.

Simple. Simply help out others on this forum like the rest of us! You’ll definitely learn more as you search the Help Centre and figure things out in a sandbox scenario (like what I’m currently doing).

Some examples of my sandbox scenarios:

Here are some useful links and guides you can use to learn more on how to use the Make platform, apps, and app modules. I found these useful when I was learning Make, and hope they might benefit you too —

Make will send out expression of interest invites for beta programs by email if your Make account is active. Try creating more scenarios!

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues. P.S.: investing some effort into the tutorials in the Make Academy will save you lots of time and frustration using Make!

@samliew

Thank you so much @samliew for your thoughtful and structured response — it truly means a lot to me as a beginner here on Make! :folded_hands:

I’m currently experimenting with how to collect and send data from a Tally form submission to Airtable, especially when the form contains values from 11 different collections. I want to avoid using 6 router branches, but I also want the structure to remain scalable and clean.

Your resources and advice are gold — I’ll definitely go through more tutorials from the Make Academy to solidify my foundation.

On another note, I would love to contribute more to the community and eventually become a Pro user. I’m also currently looking for teams or projects I could collaborate with, or even help out in exchange for support in upgrading my Make plan.

If there’s any opportunity you know about, beta testing, startup grants, or community support programs, I’d really love to be considered.

Again, thank you for your time and generosity in helping others here :raising_hands:
