Could you elaborate a bit more and share what you’ve already built?

Agents use knowledge and call tools as needed. You can try to force them to do so in the agent’s instructions, but in the end the tool choice is still up to the “agent”.

If you always need the tool to run and its output to be used, don’t leave that decision to the agent. Add the related modules before the agent in your scenario (e.g. the knowledge base search or the tool itself) and pass their output as the agent’s input.
