While waiting for an API solution, as a potential workaround you can try to use the “Markdown to HTML” module, and then in Notion you could apply the “stripHTML()” function.

Thats interesting, thank you! Could this be used as well for inserting text in the form of To-Do items? Because when, for example, I use ChatGPT reply as an input, even with the "- " before each line, only the first is insterted as a to-do into Notion and the rest are new lines, but within that same To-Do item (block)
