I’m Donald, from California, USA. I’m really humbled to have been invited to join the Community Champion team! 
This community has been such a big part of my learning journey. I’ve always had a passion for troubleshooting and helping others, and that drive (along with my growing obsession with Make) is what originally brought me here.
What I do
I spent over 15 years in an IT support capacity, where I was already tinkering with desktop automation tools and scripts long before I found Make. These days, I spend most of my time building workflows that connect dozens of tools to help people automate their work and reach their goals. I’m excited to continue learning, sharing ideas, and helping others!
Coolest thing I built
An automation to create a full proposal package from a scoping call transcript.
The idea came from a previous employer, which is why community and collaboration are essential.
Currently, all the pieces work individually, but I have yet to put them all together.
The flow is discussed in detail during the scoping call, the Fireflies transcript passed to AI to come up with a clean text description of the flow, it is converted into Mermaid, then a PDF of the diagram is produced.
The text representation of the flow along with the diagram serve as a basis for identifying gaps in logic, making adjustments and refreshing as needed, then shared with the client before building the actual scenario.
The package is so useful it can even be sold as a standalone product which the client can then use to build themselves and/or take to another builder for comparison. I’m still paid for my time and client still gets a [hopefully] valuable product. Win-win!
