I made my first scenario that runs perfectly when I hit the “RUN ONCE” button. But when I activate the automatic schedule, regardless of the frequency, it does not trigger the automation.
What I want to achieve, is that the activated automation does the process that I did and that apparently, works correctly when I press the “run once” button.
Can you help me figure out what is going on? What am I doing wrong?
“On demand” is not the same as “Immediately”, which is only available on Webhook trigger modules.
On demand means it will run only when you click Run once, or triggered by another scenario or via the API.
To resolve this, set the scenario scheduling to run “at specified intervals”.
Here are some useful links and guides you can use to learn more on how to use the Make platform, apps, and app modules. I found these useful when I was learning Make, and hope they might benefit you too —
I tested again today, after renaming the IG account, and it no longer works. I think the only weird thing I did, was to lower from 15 minutes to 10, the automation schedule. And I checked that the IG name was correct in the modules.
Now it only works if I hit the Run button, but it doesn’t work automatically.
Hello @Ronnie,
There are no issues with you changing the IG name or its connection-related setting.
The scheduled Active scenario still runs until it gets any errors during execution. Errors like some important setup errors, connection errors, or some data missing/format-related errors stop execution and immediately change the scenario to Active Off. Read more about the scenario nature during error. https://www.make.com/en/help/scenarios/scenario-settings#3---allow-storing-of-incomplete-executions
As you’ve not mentioned anything about errors or about your current plan, so now check your plan and then see what is allowed based on it.
