Need help posting image generated with Gemini to Instagram

:bullseye: What is your goal?

I would like to have Gemini generate an image and post directly to Instagram.

 What is the problem?

Instagram asks for a “photo url” in order to post and Gemini does not offer a URL after image generation. Can someone help? If I cannot post directly from Gemini > IG , is there a workaround?

:test_tube: What have you tried so far?

I’ve tried Google Drive but IG cannot pull the file from a GDrive link.

Hello @tcd_maker,

Welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, Google Drive cannot generate image URLs that are supported by Meta.

You can instead use other image hosting services such as S3, Cloudinary, or 0CodeKit.

It integrates very well with Make and provides a “Create temporary URL to file” feature, which stores the image for 24 hours- perfect for use with Instagram.

How to use it with Gemini?

Simply map the Gemini output image to the 0CodeKit module Create temporary URL to file, and then use that link in the Instagram “Create a photo post” module.
