🐶 🐱 Pet Spotlight

Hi Makers!

We just had kittens born this week.

Interesting fact: Our cat Mia was very strong and gave birth to 3 white kittens and when we thought that’s it, 30 hours later she gave birth to one more, black, kitten! Guess you can tell the difference

Fun fact: up until now we had 2 cats - Mia (her) and Leo (him). We got them last year as kittens and knew that at some point they are going to have kittens if we don’t do anything so we had Leo neutered. Turned out the nature was stronger than us and Mia managed to get pregnant the week we had Leo neutered  It’s a blessing, they are wonderful :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Have a great Friday and the weekend ahead and enjoy your fluffy friends! :kitty:

Oh haiii Pearl, you ball of cuteness even when viewed from unflattering low angles! Your friendship with @PaulB is absolutely delightful. Keep spreading those good vibes, you two :sunglasses:

What a story @Jan_Knettig! I mean nature certainly does find a way, doesn’t it  Your little kitty family is heaps adorable, though! Also, can we please take a moment to appreciate how perfectly Mia’s blanket matches her nose and the little ones’ ears? Hope we’ll see more of this bunch in the future

Well and since we’re on the subject of felines, let me show you a sequence of pictures I like to refer to as ‘Janek has just noticed that you are eating at the kitchen table’

Oh hi! Whatcha doin?

Mind if I join you?

Oh you’re having lunch? What a coincidence!

Don’t mind me, I’ll just casually doze off in your lap, not at all hoping for a taste of that pasta.

Have a mellow Meowday, everyone :purple_heart:

@Simona_Taseva I ran the same D&D session for some friends and had “Aramis” as the secret bad guy, later in the evening they asked “why the musketeer name?”, and I spent about 10 minutes telling them about Make, and why Aramis is great haha

Meet my pack: Ac and Dc, my 14-year-old husky girls, Cristopher, my 10-year-old Alaskan malamute, and Maya, my 5-year-old kiddo.

They’re all rescues with their own stories, but today I want to focus on Cristopher.

A few months ago, Cristopher was diagnosed with diabetes.

As you can imagine, it was a challenging time for us. We needed a way to monitor his glucose levels and share that information with our vet.
That’s when I realized – why not use the potential of Make.com and other no-code tools?

To have the most accurate levels when starting his treatment, we equipped Cristopher with a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) device. I thought it would be great to create a tool that would allow each family member to log records from the glucose meter and, of course, access CGM readings. But there was a catch – the system didn’t have an official API.

After some creative problem-solving and GitHub’s help, I connected the CGM sensor to Make.com.
From there, I linked it to an Airtable database and created a Softr.io app to visualize the data.

Now, our entire family can log Cristopher’s glucose levels, and we can easily share insights with our vet.

It has been a game-changer for Cristopher’s care.
We’re not just sharing glucose readings – we’re logging behavioral insights, medicines, and exercise data too. Our vet has a comprehensive view of Cristopher’s health, helping us fine-tune his treatment plan.

I’ve been using Make for a pretty long time, but the flexibility and ease of use of Make.com never cease to impress me.

It was crucial in bringing this project to life and allowed me to create a custom solution for a very personal problem, showcasing how versatile the platform can be.

Wishing all of your furry friends the best!

I’m here in 2025 and there have been no more pets since last summer. Please add them. Myself we have no pets unfortunately. Our Guinea pigs left the home years ago.

Hey there :waving_hand:,

@alex.newpath Thanks for bumping this thread, we definitely have to make it alive again!

I’ll start by introducing you to my sister’s cat. Everyone, meet Šimík [Scheemeek], the most handsome boy on the planet. Šimík is a little over two years old and loves any treats with salmon or tuna (but don’t you dare give him something with chicken or turkey as you will receive a deadly glance haha).

Most of the time, he spends sleeping on the couch or carpet, properly enjoying the life of a cat. But in the rare moments when you catch him awake, he watches bird documentaries or requires constant head scratches :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: .

Here’s the king himself sitting mightily on his throne.

Look at his face, so adorable!!!
