[Solved]Cannot send to mailhook with forwarded emails

I have a mailhook scenario set up which works perfectly fine when I send an email directly to the mailhook address, but when I set up forwarding on that account to the same mailhook address I get an error message, “Your message wasn’t delivered because the recipient’s email provider rejected it.”

In addition to simply setting up the mail forwarding, I also set up an inbox rule where all incoming messages are redirected to the mailhook address and got the same error message.

I’m using Web Outlook from Office 365 via GoDaddy to manage my email account.

One thing I noticed is that in the support FAQ it shows a scenario where the mailhook is set up to Gmail and in the steps it talks about getting a verification code and putting that code in the Gmail account settings under forwarding, but I don’t seem to find something similar to that for office 365.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Turns out Office 365 is having issues with their forwarding right now and in their FAQ they have provided an alternate way of allowing forwarding to external email addresses.
