Trouble connecting Email (SMTP) module with custom domain

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to set up the Email (SMTP) connection in Make with a mailbox hosted on box.co.il (domain: laladesign.co.il), but I keep getting the error:

Invalid login: 535 Incorrect authentication data

Here are the details I’m using (provided by the hosting panel):

  • Email address / Username: info@laladesign.co.il

  • SMTP server: mail.laladesign.co.il

  • Port: 465

  • Secure connection (TLS): Yes

  • Explicit TLS: No

  • Authentication: required (using the same email + password)

I tried multiple times with the correct credentials, but nothing seems to work.
I’ve also checked the recommended configuration from the hosting provider (screenshot attached), and I’m following it exactly.

Hey @barak ,

As SMTP servers now require authentication, you need to enter your login/pwd to being granted access
.
See below where to do this (and I highly recommend to tick the “TLS explict” to ensure SSL connection is established).
