Sorry I had it working now I have a new issue. My updating module runs without error but doesn’t actually change my status in notion. I have tried so many things and I cannot get it to work. I’ll either get an error so it doesn’t work or I don’t get an error and it STILL doesn’t work.
Very frustrating. It’s me though I’m sure, but please help.
Could you maybe try to choose “Select from list” instead of “Enter manually” here? So that the available properties populate automatically, and you can try again to fill out the Status property with the desired value.
I have tried that as well. Still runs without error but doesn’t change in notion. I have two database linked by relation 1. people 2. Practice. I have tried this exercise with both. It’s harder with the ‘people’ database because ‘status’ is a rollup. But this SHOULd work?! I’m frustrated with it because after so many red error codes I finally got the green ‘OKAY’! then went into notion to check out my super cool thing, and it didn’t action anything . It’s gotta be something so simple that I have over looked. Like I said, I so new to all this, so it would be easy done.
Ah, that’s very unfortunate indeed. Everything looks correct to me based on the screenshots, so I would need access to your data to fully troubleshoot further.
One anomaly I notice is that the structure in the module output looks like a Rollup, not a select property.
@Simo - well the 2 notion databases I have are linked by a relation and I have the status as a rollup from the ‘practice’ database to the ‘people’ database.
But I have tried ‘update DB item’ for the status column from both databases, because it doesn’t matter which is updated I didn’t think, if you change it in one it will change the other accordingly.
But neither actually work. If I can get it to run without errors it still doesn’t change in notion. Can I give you access to try see what I have done wrong?
IDK what else to do, I can’t really move forward without having this work properly.
