Update column in Microsoft Excel worksheet

Hello there,

It seems like Make allows us to update a row in Microsoft Excel, but it doesn’t allow us to update a column in Microsoft Excel.

Similarly, Make doesn’t allow us to update a particular cell in Microsoft Excel.

It seems like the best solution is to simply switch to Google Sheets, but is there any way to do this with Microsoft Excel?

There is an update a column module, you can check it out

This is for tables, not worksheets.

You’ll have to implement these missing endpoints:

Make doesn’t have a module for these endpoints “Update a range” and “Range: insert”.

If the external service has a Developer API Reference/Documentation then you should be able to integrate the endpoints in Make using the app’s universal module (Make an API call) or generic HTTP “Make a request” module.

You can also suggest for it to be made in the Idea exchange. Don’t forget to search for it first, just in case someone already suggested it, so that you don’t end up creating a duplicate.

If you need assistance in setting up the app’s universal module, or the generic HTTP module, please provide additional information about what you have tried with regards to the external service’s Developer API Reference – how you are setting the connection up, a link to the endpoint are you trying to connect to, and what errors you are encountering.

Thank you, @samliew for the link to Microsoft’s API documentation, which will enable me to do this with the HTTP modules.

In the meantime, I’ve submitted this as a feature request to Make at the link below.

For anybody who needs these features added to Make’s Microsoft Excel modules, please upvote my feature request at the link below:

In the meantime, I ended up using Documint to create my spreadsheet, which can be controlled via Make’s Documint modules.
