As you can see here, am facing a similar issue:

Updating company - Lifecycle stage won't update

Hi, with the module Update Company I want to update the lifecycle phase. It works, if the phase was before in subscriber or empty. But if there is already a phase (user created phase maybe) selected, it doesn’t switch to the lifecycle I want. I made a 1 min video, to explain the problem. What am I missing? Thank you so much!
