Uploading a Google Doc as an attachment to an Asana task

As part of a scenario I’m building, I need to create a Google Doc from a template and then upload that Google Doc as an attachment to an Asana task. I’m able to create the Google Doc, but I can’t figure out how to properly configure the Upload an Attachment module for Asana to attach the Google Doc to an Asana task. Is this possible? Would appreciate any help in getting this to work!

Hey Lauren,

what issue are you facing exactly? Can you share screenshots of your scenario and input/output bundles?

If I wanted to upload an attachment using the Asana interface, I’d have the option to choose Google Drive and find the URL of the file. And that results in the Google Doc showing as an attachment that links directly to the doc. However, when I add the “Upload an Attachment” Asana module to my scenario, it’s not clear to me what I would enter in the fields in order to upload a Google Doc to the task. Task ID is clear to me, but the Name and Data fields are not. Is it possible to use this module to upload a Google Doc as an attachment to the Asana task? And if so, what would I map to the Name and Data fields

?

You need to use the Google Drive Download a File module to get the file, then forward that file to the Asana module.
