Website monitoring

Hello everyone,

I am passionate about discovering automation on make!

I am a beginner .. and i want to monitor the sitemap of a website to see if any pages have been updated or created.

I have tried to create a script but I keep getting stuck.

I was thinking of starting with a Google Sheet file with the current data (3 columns: URL; Images; Last Mod.) => then querying the site => then a text parser and aggregator.. But I find myself stuck on my reflection after that…

Do you have any ideas and advice?

Thank you.

Welcome to the Make community!

This is an interesting idea. First thought is to just store a hash of the source code, and compare it with the hash of the next time the scenario runs.

Let me know if you figure it out!

I would suggest completing the Make Academy before jumping into building a complete scenario. If you need specific assistance when you are building a scenario it’s easier to help you then. Otherwise, you can also hire a professional by posting a request in the Hire a Pro category.

Here are some useful links and guides you can use to learn more on how to use the Make platform, apps, and app modules. I found these useful when I was learning Make, and hope they might benefit you too —

P.S.: Investing some effort into the Make Academy will save you lots of time and frustration using Make.
