For a setup that size, I’d lean more toward a systems-minded builder/engineer than a pure low-code builder.
Someone who understands Airtable and Make is still important, but at 500k+ records and that many integrations, the bigger need is usually architecture, reliability, and maintainability.
So if I were hiring, I’d look for someone like:
-
solutions architect
-
systems engineer
-
backend-minded automation engineer
A pure low-code person can build fast, but may struggle once things get bigger and more complex.
Big mistake to avoid: hiring only for “can build in Airtable/Make” instead of “can design a system that will still work well 6 months from now.”
