WhatsApp to CRM - Help on a topic that interests many people, i guess.. (Monday CRM, but the question is about WhatsApp)

Hello everyone,
I wanted to discuss and consult with the community about an interesting topic, which I assume many will identify with and learn from.

I want to create the following scenario:
A person (with a private or business WhatsApp account) sends me a WhatsApp message (to my business account, if it matters).

I would like to file this person automatically in my CRM system (Monday system in this case).

Practically, every time a new user sends me a WhatsApp message, his details (his phone number is enough at this stage) are transferred to my CRM system.

I know how to do the CRM side in the scenario, but I don’t know the WhatsApp part.

I will further refine my knowledge details in order to receive a more accurate answer from you:

  • As far as I know, only when the WhatsApp account is business, it is possible to use its data and receive data such as phone number, name, and even email. This limits me because I will also need data of private accounts, so I might look for indirect ways like this:

  • I thought about creating such a scenario: when a person sends me a WhatsApp message, he receives back an automatic message that includes a contact number or “support card number” (ID) that occurs automatically, and this message actually activates another trigger and continue the scenario, which transmits the unique contact number to the CRM system, so there will be at least partial automation.

A possible continuation of this scenario, following the reference number or the “support card number” (ID) that is generated automatically, it is possible to continue the conversation by collecting additional details from the contact creator with the help of an automatic conversation:

“What is your phone number”?
“what’s your name?”
My question is in addition to everything - is this a logical scenario and will it be possible to create a scenario that transfers these additional details to the CRM system? Assuming the CRM side, I do know how to do it.

I would appreciate any information you think could help me:

  • YouTube videos relevant to my specific topic.
  • Explanation of possible scenarios (the more detailed the better).
  • Other learning sources.
  • tips.

Thanks for reading and help in advance!
