πŸ”₯ App Update: Connect Google Drive with your personal Gmail account

:open_file_folder: Google Drive in Make now supports personal Gmail accounts, giving more Makers a direct way to automate their files

Hey Makers :waving_hand: If your files live in a personal Google Drive, you can now bring them into your Make scenarios right alongside the apps and tools you already use.

This gives freelancers, solo builders, students, side project owners, and small teams more room to build file based automations from the Google account they use every day.

:open_file_folder: Google Personal account support for Google Drive connections is now available in Make.

:new_button: What’s new

  • :e_mail: Connect a personal Gmail account: Use Google Drive modules with an @gmail.com account, not only a Google Workspace account.

  • :gear: Automate the Drive you already use: Watch folders, move files, upload documents, search for assets, and build file flows from your personal Drive.

  • :busts_in_silhouette: Support for more account types: Make now supports Google Drive connections for both personal Google accounts and company or organization Workspace accounts.

  • :hammer_and_wrench: More access for everyday builders: Build automations for personal admin, freelance work, school projects, client files, or side businesses without needing a Workspace account.

:flexed_biceps: Put it to work

  • Freelance client handoffs: When a client uploads files to a shared folder in your personal Drive, Make can detect the new files, copy them to the right project folder, and send a message to your client or team.

  • Personal document workflows: Save receipts, contracts, or forms to Google Drive, then use Make to rename them, sort them by date or category, and add the details to a tracker.

  • Content creation flows: Drop images, videos, or drafts into a Drive folder, then trigger a scenario that sends the assets for review, creates a task, or notifies your collaborators.

Whether you use Google Drive for business files, personal projects, or a mix of both, this update gives you more choice in how you connect your files to Make.

Happy automating! :purple_circle:
