Automate Asana Task Transfer Based on Slack Status

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some help with an automation project involving Slack and Asana using Make. Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:

I want tasks in Asana to be automatically moved to another project when my Slack status is set to “On Vacation”. The assignee for these tasks should remain unassigned in the new project.

Current Issue:

I’m having trouble setting up the trigger in Make to read and act on the Slack status change to “On Vacation”. I can’t seem to find the right way to configure this specific trigger.

Any advice or guidance on how to properly set this up would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @drs98,

Welcome to the Make community!

I believe you can use the Watch User module, this module is triggered when a new user is added or an existing user is changes. This includes a change in status / presence (User presence and status | Slack)

Hereafter, you can filter on the event and continue as you please.

Cheers,
Henk
