Download the Featured Image

Hello everyone. First post here! Is it possible to download a Wordpress Featured Image from a list of Urls that I have? If so, what would be the easiest way?

Welcome to the Make community!

You can use the HTTP “Get a file” module with each URL mapped into the URL field…

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Hello Samliew.
Thanks for the reply.
I took a screenshot of the sequence I did. It finds the image. But it appears to be empty. Could you help me?

Replace module 3 with a HTTP “Get a file” module.

Delete module 3.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Hello Samliew.
Thanks for the reply again! I think we almost there.

You are using the wrong Google Drive module.

Try Uploading the file instead of Updating a file.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Sorry about that!

You are using the wrong Google Drive module.

Use the “Upload a File” module instead of “Download a File”.

For Enter a folder id dropdown, try another option instead of “manual”.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Good afternoon
We’re still trying here!

And I tried to convert it too.

Looks like you have to select the second HTTP “Get a file” variable. There’s two shown in your screenshot.

Hello Samliew.
Thank you for continuing to help! Have a nice week!

First attempt was to try manually.

Second was from the list without converting.

And the third Converting.

Hi. It seems you are receiving an “Error 404” because the file “[Buffer]” is not being found.

  • In the “New Folder Location” inside of the Google Drive module, instead of typing / using module mappings - use the blue + icon and navigate to your chosen folder.

Hope this helps!

It worked!
Thank you very much, Samliew and James_G for your help and patience!!
It gave an error in the third module, but it must be because I created a test page for this, but the upload was done anyway.

One last question, is it possible to isolate only one photo? Like in the example below? Just the first one and not all of them on the page?

No problem, glad I could help!

Could you please create a separate topic for each question next time?

While it’s tempting to continue an existing thread, a more effective approach would be to start a new topic. It helps other community users to respond to your query, and keeps our space organised for everyone. If you start a new conversation you are also more likely to get help from other users. You can refer others back to a related topic by including that link in your question. Thank you for understanding and keeping our community neat and tidy.

1. If anyone has a new question in the future, please start a new thread. This makes it easier for others with the same problem to search for the answers to specific questions, and you are more likely to receive help since newer questions are monitored closely.

2. The Make Community guidelines encourages users to try to mark helpful replies as solutions to help keep the Community organized.

This marks the topic as solved, so that:

  • others can save time when catching up with the latest activity here, and
  • allows others to quickly jump to the solution if they come across the same problem

To do this, simply click the checkbox at the bottom of the post that answers your question:

3. Don’t forget to like and bookmark this topic so you can get back to it easily in future!

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.
