What are you trying to achieve?
I’d like to setup a Make scenario that updates the inventory on an Etsy product each time a product is sold. As an example, I’ve got quantity set as 3 on all of my products. When a sale is made the quantity for that item goes down to 2. I’d like a scenario that automatically updates the inventory back to 3, saving me having to do it manually from time to time.
I’ve tried various different ways but struggling to get anything that works.
Any help is hugely appreciated!
Thanks
Steps taken so far
What I’ve done is create a scenario that watches shop receipts and then passes the listing IDs to a google sheet by creating a new row each time theres a sale.
Then I’ve created another flow that watches that sheet for new rows and then uses the Update a listing inventory module.
The bit I’m stuck at… is I’m not sure how to update the inventory using the Update a Listing Inventory module. I do not have inventory set at a variant level, just at listing level.
So Listing ID is pulled in from the sheet, that got listing IDs of previous sales.
In the Offerings section, I’ve put 3 as the Quantity. However, when trying to proceed its asking for a price. My prices are set at variant level, but the quantities just at listing level. So I’m not sure if entering a price here will break things with my variants?

Yes, that is possible. You’ll need a minimum of three modules:

Hi samliew,
Thank you for your response.
I’ve managed to get the quantity updating working with the modules you’ve recommended. However, the “Update a Listing Inventory” module requires a price to be specified.
When this runs, it removes all variants for the products and specifies one price.
How do I get this to run but only update the quantity and not the price?
Thanks,
Mark
Also… regarding the Make academy… I’ve built a lot of scenarios and have them all running smoothly as intended.
I’m just looking for advice on how to update the quantity of an Etsy listing that has multiple variants.
Thanks!
Mark
It appears that the validation for the “price” field is broken.
