πŸ”₯ Feature Spotlight: Dynamic labels for HTTP & Sleep modules

:eyes: Build, review, and hand off complex scenarios with more context right on the canvas

Some features start with a spec. This one started with a dream β€” literally.

Our dear Make Community Champion @Henk-Operative woke up one day with an idea: what if HTTP modules showed you what they actually do, right on the canvas?

He shared the concept right after waking up in the community, the team loved it, and now it’s live in Make! :purple_circle:

:label: Meet Context-aware dynamic labels for HTTP & Sleep Modules

HTTP steps can now display the request method and endpoint, and Sleep steps can now display the configured wait time.

:new_button: What’s new

  • HTTP modules show what they do on the canvas: labels auto-compose from the HTTP method and the last part of the request URL, like GET /contacts or POST /orders.

  • Sleep modules show the wait time: you can spot pauses in your flow without opening the module to check the configuration.

:rocket: Key benefits

  • Review scenarios faster: when you have several HTTP calls in one route, you can tell which step fetches, creates, updates, or deletes data at a glance.

  • Debug with less back-and-forth: when a route fails, you can jump straight to the request you need, like PATCH /customers, instead of checking each HTTP step one by one.

  • Hand off work more clearly: teammates and ops teams can read the flow more easily, including where a 30 second or 5 minute pause happens in the process.

Thank you, @Henk-Operative β€” and to every community member who turns their ideas (and dreams :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:) into better Make experiences for everyone.

Happy automating! :purple_circle:
