Plain-text editing for mapped values and functions lets you edit formulas directly

Edit a value inside a mapped formula without rebuilding the mapping piece by piece.

:memo: Plain-text editing for mapped values and functions is available in Make. Double-click any mapped value or function in a scenario field to temporarily edit it as text.

:new_button: What’s New

  • Double-click a mapped value or function to switch it to editable text.
  • Edit values, functions, and keywords directly in the field.
  • Copy and paste mapped data or formulas without reconstructing each part.
  • Press Esc or click outside the field to return to the normal mapped format.

Does this also work reliably with more complex nested formulas and multiple mapped fields? It would be really useful to be able to copy a long formula between modules and quickly modify only specific mapped values without rebuilding the mapping.

This is a really nice quality-of-life improvement. Editing one value inside a complicated mapped formula without rebuilding the whole thing has always been one of those small annoyances that adds up quickly.

The copy/paste part is especially useful when you have similar formulas across several modules. Anything that makes scenario maintenance less tedious is a win. I can see this being handy for workflows connected to platforms like Phonexa too, where mapped data can get pretty complex.

yes its working for simple and complex nested formulas. Double click will change the expression to a text :slight_smile: Hope it will be useful for you case :trophy:
