Finding Dropbox Folders with FolderID

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using Make to create folders in drobox triggered from Airtable. I’ve been storing the Dropbox FolderID in the Airtable record on the assumption it would be useful later if I need to move/delete the folder.

Now I’m trying to move the folder and there doesn’t seem to be an option to search for the folder by the folder ID, just the path.

Am I missing something here ?

Hi currently.jason,

You could use the “Get a Folder Metadata” Dropbox module according to:

Maybe a stupid question, you could also store the full path of the directory in Airtable, it doesn’t work?

Thanks, I read that but there is no get Metadata option. I used the API in the end

{
“path”: “{{ID: Dropbox FolderID`}}”
}

Could you attach the blueprint of your scenario?

(Note: Exporting your scenario will not include private information or keys to your connections)

Uploading it here will look like this:

blueprint.json (12.3 KB)

3. And most importantly, Output bundles

Please provide the output bundles of the modules by running the scenario, then click the white speech bubble on the top-right of each module, save the contents as a text file, and upload it here into this discussion thread:

Providing the output bundles will allow others to replicate what is going on in the scenario even if they do not use the external service.

Following these steps will allow others to assist you here. Thanks!
