From Clunky to User-Friendly ERP

Have trouble with your age-old ERP that’s visually horrible and takes you so much time every week? Well, we’ve got just what you need.

We’re building a streamlined and visually appealing ERP on Airtable and Make for a client, allowing them to leave soon the horrible Dolibarr. It’s estimated that our client will thus save 4 to 10 hours of tedious repetitive tasks a week. Plus, they already enjoy the polished look of this new tool.

Thank you, @Make team, for giving us the means to have our clients go from ‘Aaargh’ to ‘Wooow’ !

Here’s what it looks like: :point_right:t3: https://bit.ly/demo-erp-airtable :point_left:t3:

I’d love to learn more about the videos you linked, but unfortunately, not everyone can access or watch videos on forums for various reasons. Some folks might be:

  • Short on time: A quick summary would help them decide if the video is relevant before investing their limited minutes.

  • Unable to watch videos: Accessibility limitations, data restrictions, or noisy environments might prevent them from viewing the video directly.

  • Preferring text summaries: Some people learn better by reading or simply prefer written information.

If you could provide a longer description of what the video explains, you can reach a wider audience and ensure everyone can participate in the discussion on this forum. It also helps others quickly gauge if the video aligns with their interests and needs.

Thanks!

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

P.S.: Investing some effort into the Make Academy will save you lots of time and frustration using Make.

Thanks for the tips, @samliew! Will do.

At the suggestion of @samliew, here are a few explanations about the project for those of you who might prefer to read rather than to watch.

Goal
The goal of the project is to migrate our client’s data from their current ERP – Dolibarr – onto a custom ERP we’re building for them on Airtable and Make.

Pain Point
Our client is a French small company (under 20 employees) working in the heavy industry. Because they have a small budget, they decided not to invest in enterprise solutions like Oracle and SAP on account of their deterring price – at least € 100K a year. So they opted for Dolibarr, a French software. But because it is free, it has been poorly designed, which results in our client losing a lot of time each week trying to work around the software’s weaknesses and trying to find its way in the mess of it.

Solution
We are building a custom ERP to address their two issues:

  • for them to reclaim time, we are automating all the petty tasks (e.g. data entry of invoices payable, sending of invoices receivable, payment of invoices payable)
  • for them to have a neat tool, we are building an ERP that displays only the data that they need and that visually prioritizes the data according to its importance to the business

Given their current needs, their monthly cost of Airtable and Make combined will be $30 - $60.
