Gmail search emails module skipping emails when filtered for sender

:bullseye: What is your goal?

I’ve built an automation that checks my inbox every 10 minutes for certain newsletter-y emails that I don’t want to miss but I don’t want cluttering my inbox. It searches for emails that are from a list of specific senders, summarizes them, deletes the email, then adds a record to a data store for my 2nd scenario, which sends an email containing all data store summaries once a day.

 What is the problem & what have you tried?

Everything works perfectly, except the Gmail “search emails” module is not finding some emails that it absolutely should have found. For instance, several emails from “jobalerts-noreply@linkedin.com” are in my inbox right now but it doesn’t see it. It will catch all others, though.

I’ve quadruple checked the email is an exact match to the one in my inbox, and I’ve tried using “has the words” instead of “sender” to filter by sender (“from:jobalerts-noreply@linkedin.com OR alerts@duke-energyalert.com…”).

No errors, it just isn’t including some specific emails in output.

Welcome to the Make community!

It appears that field only accepts a single email address.

If you would like to use a freeform search query (like the search bar in Gmail), switch to a Gmail filter.

Hope this helps! If you are still having trouble, please provide more details.
