How do I bypass the phone field when creating a lead in GHL using make?

According to the description below the Phone field, you need to insert the email address if phone is not empty.

Otherwise, you can insert 0000-000-0000 as the phone number.

thanks it works, but there is no way to add a contact to GHL without adding the number right?

Did you try adding an email address? That’s what the description says…

Yes I have added email address, but it is saying the phone is required and the issue is that using the default phone number is updating the same contact in ghl.

Then you should contact support to get it fixed.

For technical issues or bugs like this, directly contacting support can often lead to a faster resolution.

You can open a new ticket here, or if you are unable to login for some reason, you can create another new free account to access the ticketing system (which is only available to logged-in users). Alternatively, you should be able to send an email to helpdesk@make.com and support@make.com and it should create a ticket. After submitting a new ticket, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with the subject “Ticket Created” in the subject. If you do not receive this, try sending the ticket again.

Hi @Taniya

Could you please ensure that the Email field is not empty when the phone field is missing? You can evaluate by checking the input/output bundles or from the history of previous runs.

I have already added the email as seen in the image, but it still does not work

Hey @Taniya

The mapping seems transparent. Hence, it means currently it is empty. Please check in previous module if the email exist there or not.

Please note: - You have mapped the email variable. That variable should contains the value but shouldn’t be empty.
