Details: Here are the current values in the multiple select field:
- JavaScript
- Python
- Go
- Java
- Kotlin
- PHP
- C#
- Swift
- R
- Ruby
I want to add new values: C, C++, and MATLAB. When I use the Airtable Update Record action in Make.com, I receive an error stating that I don’t have sufficient permission to write the data. Can anyone help me with that?

Hi,
To add new values, you must turn on the “Smart Links” option:
Alternatively, you can use an API call as described here.
When using “Smart Links” turned on, remember that even the slightest misspelling will result in creating a new option. Choose the method that suits your project best.
Have a nice day,

Sir Thanks for the reply. If you can provide a example scenario to solve this problem. It will help me alot. Because i am unable to solve it.
In your “Update” or “Create a record” module turn on “Show advanced settings” and then turn on “Smart links”. Use screenshot attached above- there is nothing more to configure.
Have a nice day!
