How to duplicate/make a copy of a design with Canva

hello there, does anyone know whether it is possible to duplicate/make a copy of a design on canva via make? perhaps via an api call? i would like to be able to create a series of designs from the main one and then edit them manually on canva.
Thanks!

You could try exporting and importing an existing design.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

hi samliew, unfortunately that is not going to work.

When exporting a design only these formats are available:
Schermata 2024-08-16 alle 19.01.16

so when you re-import the design you lose the possibility to edit it.

According to Canva, exporting as ZIP is not possible unfortunately.

So, it might not be possible at all via the API.

For more information, see Exporting designs - Canva Apps SDK Documentation, and Exports: Exports - Canva Connect APIs Documentation

Hope this helps!

HI @trugoyo

We have just cracked a workaround to achieve this.

hi @Msquare_Automation thanks, I already knew about using google slides as a tool for autofilling content, but I can not use that because I need to use custom fonts, and google slides doesn’t allow that.

Well understood.
