How to feed HTML email through gmail keeping action buttons intact

Hey there,

I have a HTML email I am sending out to my CRM in bulk. The template I have used is from Beefree. When I send it to myself from beefree it works perfectly. but once I feed it through the gmail module, 2 of the buttons no longer work. those are both buttons that take you to email to unsubscribe or ‘Contact us’.

I have contacted beefree asking why, they said it is modified when going through make.com and that I should contact them - so here I am. thanks for you help.

this is what should open. and does when sending tests straight from beefree. But something changes once through make scenario.

3. Input and Output Bundles of Modules

Please provide the input and output bundles of each of the relevant modules by running the scenario (you can also get this without re-running your scenario from the History tab).

Click on the white speech bubbles on the top-right of each module and select “Download input/output bundles”.

A. Upload as a Text File

Save each bundle contents in a plain text editor (without formatting) as a bundle.txt file.

B. Insert as Formatted Code Block

If you are unable to upload files on this forum, alternatively you can paste the formatted bundles.
These are the two ways to format text so that it won’t be modified by the forum:

  • Method 1: Type code block manually

    Add three backticks ``` before and after the content/bundle, like this:

    ```

    ```

  • Method 2. Highlight and click the format button in the editor

Providing the input/output bundles will allow others to replicate what is going on in the scenario, especially if there are complex data structures (nested arrays and collections) or if external services are involved, and help you with mapping the raw property names from collections.

Sharing these details will make it easier for others to assist you.

I am not receiving error messages as the scenario works. The issue I am having is that gmail module seems to be changing the code or something when it sends, which disrupts the functionality of the ‘Unsubscribe’ and ‘contact us’ buttons. The below is an email from beefree support. I have done as they said and the email works perfectly when just sending through there app. Something changes after sending through the automation. IDK if maybe I need to use a different module rather then gmail? Thanks for your help
