How to revert back to previous UI?

Can’t find the option to revert back to the old UI, I can’t stand the smaller visualization, it looks messy.

This is currently not possible. I’m sure others will agree that this would be nice to have.

If this is important to you, please submit this suggestion to the Idea exchange, under Platform Ideas and Improvements. However, do search for a similar request first (and also upvote), just in case it has already been suggested to avoid duplicates.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Hi –

Lisa here from the Design team at Make!

Can you say more about what’s meant by “can’t stand the smaller visualization”? What seems smaller/annoying for you?

Keep the comments coming, super helpful.

You can disable the new UI here:

  1. Click “Profile” in the upper right (screenshot 1)
  2. Click “Disable new navigation” in the 3-dots menu (screenshot 2)

***** A follow-up to my message above about disabling the new UI. *****

**For new Make account sign-ups there is no toggle or switch to turn off the new UI.

New users only have the new UI.**

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your answer - I found it.

My apologies if that felt a bit rough, allow me to bring clarifications.

Old UI:

  • Great overall readability (easy to scan through)
  • One-click status filters
  • Clean scenario modules overview
  • Compact and clean
  • Little icons next to folders
  • Intuitive UI contrasts (grey menu on the left, light-grey scenario pannel)

New UI:

  • Overall feeling of messiness
    • mainly due to changes of UI colors being white everywhere - less easy to scan through
    • Scenario icons - it feels like they’re buggy, and they’re less readable, confusion is easier
    • Smaller fonts
    • Unnecessary separator lines
  • No more one-clicks status filter because hidden in drop-down filter = unnecessarily adds a click = tiresome

As for the main menu panel on the left it feels unnecessary to have all options being brought up to main level of importance.

It might not seem like a lot, but navigating back and forth most of the time between scenarios with a less scannable menu leads to mental fatigue, especially when number of scenarios start to get bigger and bigger.

Thank you for reading and your openness to feedback.

These details are incredibly helpful – appreciate that you took the time to add screenshots for comparison. We’ll be continuing to refine things as more feedback come through.
