Enhanced Navigation is now available for early opt-in!
We’ve been working to make the navigation more intuitive. Along with the updated navigation, you’ll also notice enhancements to the overall design that make working in Make easier.
What changed?
Streamlined organization and team navigation: Tired of jumping between menus? We’ve listened. We’ve made it easier by combining the separate Organization and Team dropdowns into one unified picker. Now, you can switch fast between all your workspaces from a single, intuitive menu.
Centralized access to resources: Stop searching and start building. We’ve made it easier to get the most out of our platform. You’ll now find our documentation, tutorials, notifications and profile all in one place, located in the top right corner of your dashboard.
Discover and explore faster: Our new vertical menu organizes all your options in a logical, clean view, replacing the old horizontal tabs. This provides a clear, at-a-glance overview of everything you can do, allowing you to spend less time navigating and more time creating.
Opt in now via the in-product banner or pop-up, and start exploring the new navigation! After November 1st, the new navigation will be launched automatically.
Do you have ideas on how to improve navigation or provide feedback?
Feel free to use feedback for the submenu to stay in touch. We would like to hear from you.
Thanks @vendy for announcing the new Navigation and visual refresh!
In another thread, someone mentioned that they couldn’t find the option to switch between the old & new UI, so I wanted to repost the instructions here.
Click “LK” > Profile
Click 3-dots menu > Disable new navigation
I’m also happy to take feedback here in the Community, or message me directly.
I also have my Google Calendar set up so you can book a time to talk: bookable here.
Moving UI elements around is always a contentious issue. People feel like you’ve moved their cheese.
I must admit there is no UI decision that will ever please everyone. It’s just the way it is. The best UI in my opinion is as little UI as possible to get the tasks done. That’s why I prefer a search mechanism that allows me to navigate via autocomplete search. That innovation inside the module and function picker screen is a step in the right direction. I would recommend that the number of options and navigations in Make has gotten so complex that one needs a short cut to get through to the place you know exists somewhere. People type more than ever before and hunting for the right icon and submenu gets tiresome especially when you know “it’s there somewhere”.
