How to take image from google drive and send to open ai assistant API?

I want to take an image file from Google Drive and send it to the Open AI Assistant API for analysis. The files are being generated via other programs with a format of .PNG, but assistant API requires it to be .png . Apparently this matters.

I receive the error “Error streaming run: Invalid message content: Expected file type to be a supported format: .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .gif, .webp but got .PNG.”

I am stuck at step 2.
I am extremely new to make.com, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Rashean_Graham ,

Welcome to Make Community!

Please share the output bundle from the Google Drive module so that we can check whether you are passing the correct file. And also please share the screenshot of the mapping inside the GPT module.

How to Share Input/Output bundles

To obtain the input and output bundles for each module:

  1. Run the scenario or retrieve it from the History tab.
  2. For each module, click the white speech bubble located at the top-right corner.
  3. Select “Download input/output bundles” from the dropdown menu.

This will allow you to download the necessary data for further analysis and sharing.

Method 1: Attach a Text File

  1. Copy the output data.
  2. Paste the data into a text file.
  3. Attach the text file to your ticket.

Method 2: Direct Sharing

  1. Use the direct sharing option available in the reply section. Please refer to the image below for guidance.
