Case:
I’m setting up a scenario where a Webflow post should automatically generate a LinkedIn post. So far, so good.
Problem:
I’m also trying to embed mentions of persons and organizations in the posts. The setup is sort of working and I get no errors, but if I mention e.g. an organization, it is just added to the end of the content field text in the post on LinkedIn like this: @[name](company ID)
Question:
Isn’t the point with this feature that if a name in the content text matches the ‘Entity name’, a link to the mentioned person/organization is added to the corresponding name in the content field? What am I missing?
Hey there, I do have some answers but not all of them.
- the point of this is to place the mentions in a specific position inside the content
- the Start field is where you place the mentions
The Start field is the amount of characters from the beginning of the content. For example, if you have a content of 300 characters and want to place your mention at the middle then you would do 150. If you want it at the beginning, the value is 0. If you want it at the end then you can put it to whatever high number you want, as you did in the screenshot.
I came here to find out why the links aren’t activating in the posts on Linkedin so I dont know why that part isnt working.
