Linking clients email with automation

:bullseye: What is your goal?

I am building a email automation which labels emails when they arrive. In order to sell this automation and make a business out of this I need to do it for a clients email. In order to do that a mailhook needs to be set up and labels need to be created and I also need to test if its working, in order to do that I would need access to the clients email or they would need to do it themselves and I go on a zoom call with them and explain what they need to do. What is the best way to do this because I want it to be easy and minimum effort for my client but also a new client isnt going to just give me their email password and let me change around settings in their gmail because that is private. So what do I do?

:thinking: What is the problem & what have you tried?

I want it to be easy for my client and me and also dont want to be asking clients for their password so that i can access gmail settings ( even with a temporary password)

Build the automation on their Make account.
Add the required modules and ask them to sign in.

but then they would need a make account and i wouldnt be able to access the automation if anything needs fixing or changing because its their account

You can ask them to add you as an admin.

Hi @Adam6.

Use a Credential request

@damato

You can add yourself as organization member:

And you can add labels using API. So once connection with gmail and make is established you can do it remotely.
