Vancouver / Lower Mainland (British Columbia) Make.com Developer – Project-Based Work

Please note: this opportunity is currently limited to developers based in Vancouver/ Lower Mainland, Canada only.

I am looking for an experienced Make developer to support upcoming automation and integration projects.

I am specifically looking for someone who can handle more advanced Make builds, integrations and troubleshooting.

Experience I am looking for:

• Strong hands-on experience building and troubleshooting Make scenarios
• 3+ years of Make experience preferred
• Strong understanding of routers, filters, iterators, aggregators, variables and complex data mapping
• Experience working with APIs, HTTP modules and webhooks
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON and OAuth 2.0
• GraphQL experience would be a strong advantage
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, CRMs, accounting platforms and other SaaS applications
• Experience working with OpenAI or other AI APIs would be beneficial
• Ability to diagnose failed scenarios, authentication issues and API errors
• Experience building reliable error handling and production workflows
• Comfortable reviewing, improving and extending existing Make automations
• Ability to clearly document builds and provide a clean handover

I am particularly interested in developers who understand the business process behind an automation, not simply how to connect applications.

Hi @Keith_Donoghue, welcome to make community I can help with this, strong Make.com experience with the kind of advanced builds, integrations, and troubleshooting you’re describing.

  1. Make experience: 3+ years building production automations, mostly API-heavy integrations rather than simple two-app connections. Routers, filters, iterators, aggregators, error handlers, and complex data mapping are daily tools, not occasional ones.

  2. Complex automation example: built a multi-system order management flow connecting a CRM, Google Sheets, and a notification layer, using routers to split order types, iterators to process line items, and aggregators to roll results back into a single record. Error handling was built in from the start so a failed step didn’t silently drop data, it flagged for manual review instead.

  3. Technical problem example: a scenario that worked in testing started failing intermittently in production because a webhook source occasionally sent malformed or partial JSON. Traced it with the execution history, added validation that rejects and logs bad payloads instead of letting them break downstream modules, then rebuilt the mapping to handle missing fields gracefully instead of assuming the shape would always be clean.

  4. APIs, OAuth, GraphQL: comfortable with REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth 2.0 across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, CRMs, and accounting platforms, that’s the majority of the integration work I do. GraphQL I’ve used on specific integrations when the platform required it, not as often as REST but I can work with it.

Hi Keith,

I’m based in Chilliwack, BC, and available for project-based work across the Lower Mainland. I build and troubleshoot production automations with Make, n8n, REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, OAuth 2.0, PostgreSQL and AI APIs.

A recent example is TenderScope (https://www.tenderscope.ca/), a construction intelligence platform where I work with data collection, document analysis, structured workflows, alerts and operational monitoring. I focus on business process first, then build reliable scenarios with validation, error handling, retries and clear documentation.

For API and integration work, I’m comfortable diagnosing authentication and mapping issues, working with HTTP modules and JSON payloads, and extending existing workflows safely. I can also work with GraphQL when required.

My rate is CAD 30/hour. I’m available to start this week and would be happy to share a walkthrough or discuss an upcoming project.
