Module settings gone after connection error (Gmail/Google Connection)

Hi there! I created a scenario to have ChatGPT label my Gmail emails. It was working pretty well but then the Google connection stopped working and needed to be re-authorized.

I created a new connection and re-authorized…but after that, all my settings for my “Set Label” module have disappeared. And the settings were quite complex!

I tried to go back to my old connection to see the old settings, but because it’s no longer authorized, I can’t see any of the details.

  1. Is there any way I can get those old settings back?

  2. Is there any way I can re-authorize the old connection without having to create an entire new connection? It seems to make no sense that I can’t just re-authorize the previous connection and retain all my old settings. Am I missing something here?

  3. Is there any way to have a personal Gmail connection not have to re-authorize every 7 days? I read a lot of the threads on here and it seemed that a workaround was to set my app to “Production” instead of “Testing” - and that should allow me to not have to re-authroize frequently. In fact, when I did that, Make.com’s module said, “You have until December 12th 2024, 02:24 AM (Thu) to reauthorize your connection.” But was that not true?

Apologies for the tons of questions. I’m just running into constant problems trying to do something that seems like it should be fairly simple (change email labels in Gmail, then archive those emails) and about ready to tear my hair out

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Old Connection no longer works (and I can’t access any of the module details):

New connection works, but all module details are deleted:

Looks like a bug to me, because I can reauthorise my Gmail connection without losing settings.

For technical issues or bugs like this, directly contacting support can often lead to a faster resolution. They have access to your specific account details, scenario and scenario logs, server-side logs, and internal tools and resources, which allows them to investigate more thoroughly than what you have access to. Additionally, sharing sensitive information about your account or scenario might not be suitable for an open forum discussion.

You can open a new ticket here, or if you are unable to login for some reason, you can create another new free account to access the ticketing system (which is only available to logged-in users).

If you manage to get your issue resolved with support, we’d still love to hear about it! Sharing your solution on the forum can help others facing similar problems.
